The International ANDY Awards Appoints Colleen DeCourcy as Chair for 2020

Colleen DeCourcy, co-President and chief creative officer for Wieden+Kennedy will serve as the 2020 Jury Chair of The International ANDY Awards. The announcement was made by The ADVERTISING Club of New York, the producing organization for the Awards.

Under DeCourcy’s leadership, Wieden+Kennedy has created some of the world’s most provocative creative campaigns of the last decade. She is an outspoken advocate for diversity and gender equity, and in 2018 was instrumental in founding the advertising arm for the TIME’S UP movement. DeCourcy’s ongoing support, insight & leadership have played an instrumental role in the path forward for the 55-year-old ANDY organization, underscoring the power of a creative idea and bringing the notion of bravery to the forefront of the organization’s mission.

Over the past few years, chair predecessors Pete Favat, Chief Creative Officer, Deutsch North America and Nick Law, now Vice President of MarCom Integration, Apple were also invaluable in bringing the ANDY Awards’ mission of transparency and education to the next level.

DeCourcy will lead an integrated jury of industry leaders, innovative marketers and rising stars who will review all submitted work across disciplines and mediums. The ANDY Awards is the only advertising awards program with just one integrated Jury, allowing for rich, holistic dialogue around ideas, craft, innovation, and bravery for each submission. The same integrated jury reviews all of the student work, giving students the unprecedented opportunity to have their work reviewed by the industry’s top creative leaders.

The ANDY Awards are leading the charge for greater transparency and education among the community by creating an accessible judging experience held via Facebook Live. This commitment gives entrants and viewers the ability to interact with the Jury and ask questions during the process.

The ANDY Awards and The ADVERTISING Club of New York are both not-for-profit organizations that lead the industry with a common guiding principle of giving back to support the full breadth of talent while creating an environment to support future talent and ensuring a diverse workforce.  The ADVERTISING Club of New York’s Foundation has been developing programs and initiatives that invest in the success and sustainability of an exceptional talent pipeline since 1986, by providing scholarships, internships, fellowships.
