Piper Hickman is a Group Creative Director in New York City. A born and raised Midwesterner, her most memorable childhood career aspiration was to be in the water ski show at Sea World in nearby Aurora, Ohio. Despite learning to slalom at the young age of nine, she eventually decided to pursue writing instead of being pulled behind a motor boat.
Piper recently joined 360i, bringing a breadth of industry experience and accolades—she’s worked on everything from fashion to beer to telecom. Prior to 360i, she worked as an in-demand freelancer for seven years at many agencies/companies including: Wolf & Wilhelmine, VML, Havas Worldwide, The Barbarian Group, Saatchi & Saatchi, Untitled Worldwide, JWT, Ogilvy, TAXI, Y&R and McCann. One of the best compliments she’s received from a colleague is, “you’re a Swiss Army knife, you can do anything.”
Before taking the initiative to go freelance, Piper climbed the ranks from Copywriter to Creative Director at such shops as SPIKE/DDB, Lowe Worldwide, DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi and mcgarrybowen. A believer in making advertising a viable career option for women, Piper is a frequent panel member of the She Works Hard For The Money series and has been a mentor to many first-time female creatives in the industry.
She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, daughter and dog.
