BIOGRAPHIES

Keynote Speaker & Panelists

   KATRINA CRAIGWELL is VP, Global Marketing Innovation at GE Digital, where she leads brand and digital marketing for the new business unit. Her team is responsible for driving innovative storytelling and generating commercial impact for GE Digital across visual and digital mediums. Prior to that, Craigwell was Director of Global Content & Programming for GE Corporate, where she spearheaded new programs at the intersection of technology and brand, including GE’s work on Instagram, YouTube and across virtual reality platforms.

Prior to GE, she was Associate Director at social media agency Attention, working with clients including CNN, HLN, WE tv, A&E and The Guardian. Craigwell began her career in public relations at the Independent Film Channel, working on some of IFC’s first social media campaigns.

Craigwell was awarded The Advertising Club of New York’s Young Pro honor in 2016. She has been named to Digiday’s Changemakers in 2017, Adweek’s Most Influential Women in Marketing and Media in 2016 and Young Influentials and Creative 100 in 2015, Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Marketing & Advertising in 2014, and AdAge’s Creativity 50 in 2012.

ANNELISE CAMPBELL is currently a Digital Associate at Golin New York, where some of her duties include community management, influencer strategy, content creation, paid media, and digital strategy development. Her time at Golin thus far has been marked by growth. Annelise has been an integral team member on multiple pitches that have lead to new business acquisitions. She currently leads the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and has been chosen to mentor the CEO Matt Neale. Annelise has worked on major brands like Pepsi LIFEWTR, Hyatt, L’Oreal, Garnier Fructis and more.

Prior to her time at Golin Annelise was Social Media Manager at an integrated marketing agency, where she was responsible for developing and implementing digital strategy, content creation, paid media efforts, and analytics and reporting. Annelise immediately after university was invited by the Martin Agency to attend their prestigious and competitive advertising internship. Her keen understanding of communication strategy and creative executions allowed her to create the program’s winning idea for a major food brand which can be found on shelves today.

JOANNE “JOEY” JOSEPH is a seasoned Integrated Producer who has worked in the world of music entertainment and multi-million dollar brands for 10 years. She has a consistent track record of success in business project management for several top tier creative minds and companies. Joey believes that with a hustle mentality and a “go get it” attitude, there are no “no’s” and plenty of “yes’s”.

Joey has worked with artists and entrepreneurs including Sean “Diddy” Combs, Flo Rida, The Marley Family, and Gary Vaynerchuk. She has a great reputation for high quality and on-time delivery, and an ability to execute in challenging situations.

Joey’s product management and A&R work has garnered her credit on several Grammy award winning Marley albums. Of the experience, Joey says, “I was so proud of myself and knew that if I continued to work hard, and find ways to get things done when it seemed impossible, I would excel in my career.”

MELISSA MORIARTY Assistant General Counsel Vayner Media

Melissa Moriarty is Assistant General Counsel at Vayner Media, a digital-first, full-service advertising agency which offers a full range of strategy, creative, photo and video production, and media buying services.  Ms. Moriarty’s practice is focused on evaluating and addressing business and legal risks in advertising campaign executions, new lines of business, and use of emerging technologies – with a focus on intellectual property, marketing and advertising, and privacy issues.

Ms. Moriarty received a J.D., cum laude from Fordham University School of Law in 2013, where she was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute and Notes & Articles Editor for the Fordham Urban Law Journal.  Prior to entering law school, Melissa worked with college athletic departments to protect and monetize their copyright and trademark rights at XOS Digital, a sports media licensing agency and in event planning for the Orange Bowl Committee’s FedEx Orange Bowl and 2009 BCS National Championship games.


MASTER FACILITATOR & WORKSHOP

VERNA FORD, During times of mass disaster, people demonstrate extraordinary caring across differences. This human response is instinctual and available to us every day as we select our government officials and policies, as we raise our families in chosen communities and as we build and lead organizations. My professional interest is at the nexus of these institutions — bridging our individual interests and our collective humanity; finding ways to bring people and our idea(l)s together absent catastrophe. Ms. Ford is a master facilitator for the firm’s efficacy workshops. She developed and designed curricula for the Tools to Mentor workshop and Straight Talk about Performance, Team Conflict and Organizational Change. Ms. Ford is a graduate of the University of Alabama and a certified member of the International Coaching Federation.

CHRISTINA MCCAUGHEY is a Financial Consultant in the New York City branch of AXA advisors, LLC. Ms. McCaughey focuses on personal financial planning including retirement strategies, wealth management, tax efficient investments, financial protection and business benefits. Christina McCaughey spent 20+ years working for leading Wall Street investments banks in 3 countries before becoming a financial consultant.

 ALICIA RAY – Manager of Product Marketing for AT&T AdWorks

Alicia spends most of her time transforming with the rapidly morphing digital media industry at the intersection of emerging technologies and content. She also spends most of her time as an adjunct instructor, empowering college students to identify new areas of opportunities through technology-driven learning.

Alicia believes in the great philosopher Mr. Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote “Most of the shadows of this life are caused by standing in one’s own sunshine”. Already overcoming many adversities Alicia intends to be a titan in her industry.

Alicia holds a Masters of Arts degree in Interactive Media Arts from Long Island University and Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from Florida State University. Additionally, Alicia has been a featured speaker at a number of events from ad:Tech, AT&T STEM forum and a host of career development programs.

ANDEA CAMPBELL – Partner, Director, Analytics & Insights, MEC

Andea is a Marketing and Insights Executive who has worked in research for over a decade. She’s worked across a leading television station representation firm, an OOH vendor and is now at MEC global.

Andea joined MEC in 2012 on the Analytics and Insight team at a time when – more than ever – data was becoming the center piece of media decision making.  Today, Andea brings to her clients a wealth of knowledge in research with a unique perspective on how to draw insights from consumer behavior.   She has worked across several Fortune 1000 companies at MEC, such as Citibank, Energizer, Harmon and IKEA. As Partner Director, Analytics and Insights, she leads the Pepperidge Farm A&I team and is often found partnering with colleagues across the agency on new business pitches.

 SHAQUANA  FORD, Senior Platform Manager, AOL Platforms

Shaquana is a Senior Platform Manager for AOL Platforms with a focus on Programmatic TV. Her love for data and innovation combined with the knowledge of media drew her into the advertising tech space.  The desire to solve problems has kept her here.  In conjunction with her interest in tech, Shaquana is a champion for inclusion, diversity, and community outreach. Serving as the co-lead for AOL’s Black Employee Resource Group BAOLers, Shaquana and team are shifting the culture domestically and internationally.

As a graduate of Howard University, it was instilled in her to always uplift others through service.  Outside of the office, Shaquana serves as a mentor with America Needs You, and a board member for HairOnPurpose.

KEISHA STEPHEN-GITTENS, Content Manager, LiveIntent

Keisha Stephen-Gittens’ flair for marketing, storytelling and diversity stems from her vibrant upbringing in Trinidad and Tobago.  She enjoys helping brands tell their stories and her passion for content strategy is seen every day through her work as a Content Marketing Manager at people-based marketing tech company, LiveIntent.

In 2009 she started her career in the agency world managing integrated campaigns at McCann for top clients in the energy, telecommunications and banking sectors.  Since then, she has worked across various digital agencies such as MullenLowe Profero and MRM//McCann on the Global Brand Communications team supporting leadership’s brand and positioning objectives.

Keisha holds a Master’s degree from NYU in Integrated and Digital Marketing, a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, and over seven years of experience in communications and implementing multi-channel marketing and advertising campaigns, driving global brand strategy and business success locally and internationally.

AMBER JACKSON, Account Supervisor at 360i | MAFA New York Co-Lead

Amber Jackson is a leader in digital, social media and integrated marketing. Her 5 years of experience has allowed her to create real and lasting connections between consumers and top brands, such as Oreo, Nespresso, Pantene and MasterCard.

Following her passion for diversity, inclusion and the retention multicultural talent, she re-launched MAFA New York and serves as their Co-Lead. She is an alumnus for much industry D&I programs including New York Ad Club i’mPART Fellowship, AAF’s Most Promising Minority Student Program, LaGrant Foundation, Ad Color’s Futures Program, and IPG’s Interact Associate Program. Most recently, she was the recipient of the AFF and Omnicom’s Rising Star Award.

SUSAN LYNE is President and Founding Partner of BBG Ventures, a venture fund for women-led tech start-ups. The fund is focused on consumer internet businesses – services, content, commerce – based on the belief that there is a huge opportunity in backing smart entrepreneurs who reflect and understand the consumers driving the fastest-growing areas of the internet.  Susan has had a long career in media, commerce and consumer products. She has held leadership positions at companies of all sizes and stages, from startups to public companies, often during periods of internal or external change.  She began her career in the magazine industry, where she founded and led Premiere Magazine. She spent almost a decade at Disney, rising to President of Entertainment at ABC. She was the CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia; CEO and then Chair of Gilt.com; and she led AOL’s Brand Group, overseeing such brands as TechCrunch, Engadget and Moviefone, immediately before launching BBG Ventures. Susan is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Gilt.com and a director of Starz LLC. Additionally, Ms. Lyne is a trustee of Rockefeller University and The New School, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. SHELLEY ZALIS, as the first female chief executive ranked in the research industry’s top 25, she changed the game, brought emotion and passion to the boardroom and has devoted herself to becoming a mentor and friend to women and leaders in her industry.  Her most recent endeavor includes launching The Female Quotient and Girls’ Lounge which supports and mentors women to find their voice, embrace their feminine leadership powers and work together to transform corporate culture.
